I never really thought of Chiropractic care as “Alternative Medicine”….
I started my path to becoming a Chiropractor through the Boy Scouts where I became an Eagle Scout and learned about chiropractic through a career day that allowed us to explore different career paths. I knew that I wanted to become a doctor but wanted to get into some sort of medical specialty. I met with a Chiropractor that day and he introduced me to the field and allowed me to shadow him for a day. After visiting a few other medical specialists, I quickly realized that patients were HAPPY to see the Chiropractor and looked forward to their appointments. That really attracted me to the profession, but from there forward I realized that Chiropractic care had an important and special place in the medical field. In fact, I learned that many of the “alternatives” to Chiropractic care weren’t really good options at all. It seemed to me that many of those other treatments should be considered the “alternatives” to this natural and safe method to live a healthy pain free life.
After going through undergraduate school at UW-Milwaukee, I enrolled at Northwestern University of Health Sciences to begin my education. There I learned how the adjustments I would eventually deliver could help everything from a sore neck or back, to asthma or even bed wetting. The nervous system controls everything and the adjustments I give have a direct effect on it with amazing results. After graduating in 1999, I looked to settle back in southeastern Wisconsin and had an opportunity to start my practice career here in Kenosha. That was over 20 years of practice ago and my wife and I raised 3 kids in that time. I realized my dream of enriching the city of Kenosha by remodeling the old Becker Flooring building in 2008. Our office is modern, spacious, and easy to get to from anywhere in Kenosha. I am proud to call it my practice home.
I like to think of myself as a regular guy. I’m a born and raised Wisconsinite and I feel like I’m a very easy person to talk to and get along with. In my free time I love to golf, bowl, fish, hunt and stay involved in my kid’s many activities. I am also a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan and season ticket holder…but don’t worry, if you’re a Bears fan I won’t hold that against you. 🙂 But enough about me!
